Where's my refund?

Changes to how some payments are processed means we may not be able to send your refund to the original payment card/account we have on record for you. It also won’t be possible if, for example, the original payment card you used has since been reported lost or stolen.

  • If we can send your refund to your payment card, you’ll receive the refund within 5 working days.
  • If we can’t send your refund to your payment card, we’ll send the refund by cheque within 10 working days.

If you’ve cancelled your policy within three working days of your normal monthly payment date, your refund will be delayed. Direct Debits can take up to five working days to process. We’ll release any funds due after this time.

If you cancel in the same period of insurance that a claim has been made, and we have not been able to confirm full recovery of the costs of the claim from a responsible third party, you will not receive a refund of premium and all premiums will be due. In these circumstances, you will not be charged a cancellation fee.
