Comprehensive policies:
As standard, we’ll provide a courtesy car while your car is being repaired by an approved repairer (subject to availability), but what if your car is stolen or written off?
If you choose our hire car option, we'll give you a hire car if your car is stolen or written off. You can keep the car for either 21 days or until we send out your settlement cheque (whichever is earlier). Hire cars are typically a small, 3 door, 1 litre hatchback and is subject to availability.
Third party, fire & theft policies:
If you select the Hire Car option, a replacement car is provided by one of our approved repairers and is available for the duration of any repairs and if your car is stolen* or written off*, we provide a hire car until an offer is made to settle the claim (up to a maximum of 21 days).
*Please note: Hire car cover will only apply if your vehicle suffers loss or damage caused directly by fire, theft or attempted theft (subject to limits and excesses).
A Hire car is designed to keep you mobile during the period of your claim, this option should satisfy the needs of most customers. A standard courtesy car is typically a small, 3 door, 1 litre hatchback model.
