At General Accident, we’ll let you change your tyres to winter tyres as long as the new tyres are the same profile and size as the tyres that are currently fitted to your car.
For example if you have steel wheels currently fitted, then you can change the tyres to winter tyres, and you don't need to tell us about this change.
But on our insurance policy you can't change the wheel to an alloy wheel. If you wish to do this you will need to cancel your General Accident policy and take out insurance elsewhere. Please refer to your policy booklet for more information on any associated cancellation fees and details of when you will not receive a refund of premium, and all premiums will be due, if you cancel your policy and a claim has been made.
